Messages
Messages allows you to edit existing QuotingBill templates as well as create new templates which will come in super handy when working on creating new reminders in the Dunning module(Another story for another time).
Anatomy of the message
Every message is made up of the following
- Reply To: If you have an email that you would want to add so that you get any that reply to what our system sends. By default we only use the email address no-reply@quotingbill.com
- CC
- BCC
- Subject
- Body
Creating a new message
When creating a new message you can set the name and the type.
When setting the type you have the option for Customer or Order, the Customer type becomes more relevant for Dunning
Variables
With variables we allow you to use dynamic values into your email templates!
If you want to know what the available variables are per template you can see that in the righthand box under the box "Available Variables".
To activate the use of a variable within an email template you need to trigger the variable menu by typing "@{" in succession. This will then show the variable menu which you can then use by either clicking or hitting enter on the variable in question.
You can also use variables within the subject as seen in templates.
Test emails
Testing emails allows you to preview messages before you send them to your customers. The test email sends an email with fake data to your email address or in more technical terms, the current user's email address.
