Equipment providers like Ingram Micro allow you to order hardware for your customers. By leveraging the Ingram Micro application with projects the time between sending a quote or invoice to shipping and ordering the phones from Ingram Micro is vastly reduced. Let's look at how we can use Ingram Micro to improve the overall QuotingBill experience for your business!
Installation
You can find Ingram Micro right here in the marketplace. Just like any other application click to install and then head to preferences to set up your Ingram Micro account with QuotingBill!
Configuring
Within the Ingram application window you'll find in the submenu "Settings" that you need to give QuotingBill your Ingram Micro credentials. To get these credentials please contact a representative from Ingram Micro if you're unsure on how to retrieve them. After that, hitting save & test should let you know if everything was correctly configured!
Configuring products
The real power of QuotingBIll x Ingram Micro comes from the ability to attach products to products from the Ingram Micro inventory. By configuring a QuotingBill product to a Ingram Micro Product, the entire system is now made aware that the specific QuotingBill product is tied to Ingram Micro Product which becomes very handy later down the line when we're working with invoices and projects!
Here's how to configure a product to Ingram Micro equipment! Make sure you use the product SKU as the ingram part number.
Using the Ingram Micro application
Orders
From here you can view all orders made for every customer with what products they ordered. You can also search for orders too!
In project tasks
The Ingram Micro application offers a recipe for projects which you can add when creating a new project!
The Ingram Micro application recipe also offers one task which allows us to order the equipment for that user which you can see here!
From here you can add shipping addresses, check stock and then proceed to ship the desired equipment from Ingram Micro. After the order has been made you will be able to view it from the Ingram Micro application window.
Note: If you checked "Create project" on your quote or invoice this task should already be populated with the correct product.
