How to search, purchase and port numbers with your preferred DID provider

So... you just installed a DID / Number provider Marketplace App (like Brightlink CPaaS, or Bandwith)!
Now what? Where do I go? How do I search numbers and send them to the switch? Well, we'll cover all of that in this article!

Once you have installed and configured your DID / Number provider Marketplace app, meaning the "save and test" button has been hit and a green message appeared below confirming everything is alright. You'll need to create a Project with the correct "recipe" in order to provision numbers into the switch.


Once created it will look like this:


The Number provider recipe will have two tasks:
  1. Numbers. This task will serve to search, and purchase NEW numbers via API, including Toll-Free only if the provider supports it. Once the number is ordered, you'll be able to confirm it by going into your number provider portal and seeing the order there.
  2. Port-in. This task will place a port-in request via API with your number provider. You'll be able to see the order status depending on how your provider handles the port-in.
